Patrick Barrag谩n obtained a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he also completed his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering as well as a Master鈥檚 of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master鈥檚 of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. During his graduate studies Barrag谩n conducted research in the area of personal robotics with emphasis on robotic manipulation and household task functionality. Currently he is the Senior Director of Autonomy at Optimus Ride, Inc., a Boston-based, self-driving car company. Previously he was co-founder and Head of Robotics at Veo Robotics in Cambridge, MA.
