Olin Rises to No. 2 in 2023 U.S. News & World Report Ranking

After eight consecutive years as the third-ranked undergraduate engineering program in the nation, Olin has advanced to the No. 2 spot in the 2023 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings.

Additionally, Olin鈥檚 mechanical engineering program has been ranked No. 6 nationally and the electrical engineering program is ranked tenth. U.S. News & World Report鈥檚 Best Undergraduate Engineering Programs rankings are based solely on the judgements of deans and senior faculty at peer institutions.

Olin College earned a score of 4.5 in the U.S. News survey, where participants were asked to rate programs they were familiar with on a scale from 1 (marginal) to 5 (distinguished). U.S. News has separate rankings for undergraduate engineering programs at colleges that offer doctoral degrees in engineering.

The No. 2 U.S. News & World Report ranking is the latest among recent accolades recognizing Olin鈥檚 place as a leading institution nationally and globally.

This month, the Princeton Review named Olin one of the nation's best undergraduate institutions, including a repeat of Olin鈥檚 No. 1 ranking of 鈥淪tudents Study the Most.鈥

Olin also received notable rankings for:

  • Professors Get High Marks (No. 3)
  • Best Classroom Experience (No. 5)
  • LGBTQ- Friendly (No. 6)
